Shrek's Adventure
Delivering a complex visitor attraction at County Hall.
We delivered Shrek’s Adventure London for Merlin Entertainments, creating a new immersive visitor attraction within County Hall on the South Bank. The project was delivered in two phases within a shared, live environment alongside London Sea Life, the London Dungeon and the London Eye. Working within a highly constrained operational setting, the scheme required careful coordination to integrate new structures, services and guest experiences while maintaining uninterrupted operation of neighbouring attractions.

Constructing bespoke structures within a live, shared environment.
Works included the installation of freestanding acoustic pods on Level 1 incorporating integrated mechanical, electrical and AV services, alongside the construction of an eight‑metre‑high acoustic bus ride enclosure within the rotunda. At ground floor level, a temporary floating pontoon was installed over the live Atlantic Tank to enable structural alterations and the creation of a new entrance area. A new lift shaft was also constructed on stilts within the lightwell, founded on the existing County Hall raft.
