265 Strand
A transformation on behalf of NYU Office of Construction Management.
We have transformed 265 Strand into 77,000 sq. ft of contemporary educational space for an international client and leading university. The seven‑storey building has been completely reimagined through extensive structural interventions, a sensitive façade restoration and a high‑quality fit out tailored to modern teaching, learning and student support. Inside, light‑filled spaces, a new signature staircase and enhanced circulation create an inspiring and connected environment for students and staff alike. Upgrades to the roof, plant, lifts and windows further future‑proof the building’s performance within this prominent Westminster setting.

Blending heritage integrity with modern educational design in the heart of London.
The project delivers a full reconfiguration and upgrade across all seven floors, including lecture theatres, flexible classrooms, and specialist learning environments. A new Mansard roof, complete window replacement, and comprehensive façade repairs elevate the building’s external presence while maintaining the character of the Strand streetscape. Internally, major structural works were undertaken to form a striking feature staircase, from basement to fourth floor, alongside the installation of four new lifts and critical plant. End-of-trip facilities, a new reception, and refined material detailing complete the transformation, creating a welcoming London base for a global institution.

"265 Strand is an example of how structural modifications combined with high quality fit out can support a client’s space requirements and aesthetic ambitions in one programme. This seamless approach meant we could more effectively and efficiently achieve the final vision from the start. Now we are excited to continue working with this prestigious international brand who has entrusted us to continue working on its first site in the UK."
