A contemporary workspace within a historic Bloomsbury building.

In this heritage setting in central London, we have transformed two upper floors and the attic level into modern, flexible workspace while sensitively restoring key original features. The works combine Cat A refurbishment with structural upgrades, including new plant installations, secondary glazing, and the formation of new WC cores and risers to improve building performance. Careful interventions within the roof space and lightwell enhance both functionality and character, increasing natural light and usability. The result is a series of refreshed interiors that balance heritage detail with contemporary finishes, supporting modern workplace requirements within a historic context.

Reimagining heritage space through future-ready design.

The scheme provides renewed Cat A floors supported by new mechanical and electrical systems, upgraded glazing, and restored architectural details throughout. Structural works within the attic introduce new primary plant, including AHUs set within newly formed dormers, ensuring the building is prepared for long-term operational performance. Across the floors, reinstated cornices, timber detailing and heritage doors sit alongside new finishes, lighting and services to create bright, contemporary offices designed for future occupants.

The result is a refined, modern workspace that retains the building’s historic character while offering high-quality, flexible accommodation in the heart of Bloomsbury.
