St Elizabeth Ward
Refurbishing inpatient facilities at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth.
Following the successful completion of the St Francis Ward, we were appointed to refurbish the St Elizabeth Ward within the same live hospital environment. Delivered over a 13‑week programme, the project involved a full strip‑out of existing walls and services and a complete rebuild of clinical areas and patient accommodation. All 16 bedrooms and en suites were refurbished, with bathrooms transformed into contemporary wet rooms, enhancing patient comfort, accessibility and overall quality of care.

Delivering modern clinical environments within a live hospital setting.
Working closely with the client, we developed a refreshed ward design tailored to patient needs, including the introduction of extra‑high toilets for orthopaedic care. The scheme also delivered upgraded clinical support spaces, including compliant dirty utility and clinical rooms, enhanced storage, staff offices and teaching areas. Anti‑slip flooring and secondary glazing improve safety, comfort and environmental control throughout. A bespoke Corian reception desk and curated artwork complete a calm, modern arrival experience delivered safely within an operational hospital.
