London Bridge Hospital
Expanding critical care capacity at London Bridge Hospital.
We delivered a highly complex refurbishment at London Bridge Hospital, inserting a new four‑storey steel and concrete structure within the existing second‑floor atrium to create an additional 45,000 sq. ft of clinical space. The scheme provides a state‑of‑the‑art intensive care suite, modern patient bedrooms and supporting clinical facilities. Delivered within a fully operational hospital, the project was carefully planned to minimise disruption while significantly enhancing the hospital’s long‑term critical care capacity.

Delivering complex structural works within a live hospital environment.
Works were executed over four carefully phased stages, with early handover of the intensive care suite to support continued hospital operations. All materials were installed through a single third‑floor opening to reduce impact on day‑to‑day activity. New air handling plant, electrical infrastructure, medical gases and media services were integrated within the new structure and existing plant spaces, all delivered to current HTM and HBN standards. The project demonstrates our experience delivering technically demanding healthcare environments safely and efficiently.
