Alder Castle
A transformation of 45,000 sq ft of modern workspace in the City of London
We transformed Alder Castle into a contemporary workspace and co-working destination with three new outdoor terraces and a reimagined double-height reception. The project involved the full removal of the building’s original glazed façade and the construction of an extended entrance formed with curved, frameless curtain walling, creating a striking new arrival experience. Inside, carefully detailed Cat A and Cat B refurbishments introduce warm materiality, improved natural light, and elevated finishes throughout. The result is a bright, modern workplace that pairs refined design with enhanced functionality and long-term building performance.

Enhancing a City landmark through new high quality Cat A and Cat B spaces
The scheme combines Cat A workspace on the Ground, First and Second floors with a high-quality Cat B reception and co-working area. A new double-height entrance - formed through complex steelwork and curved glass installation - creates a striking sense of arrival. Levels 2, 3 and 4 now feature newly formed terraces, adding valuable outdoor space. Inside, reclaimed materials, sculpted timber linings, mesh bay ceilings and refined finishes elevate the workspace. The team delivered a bold, contemporary workplace that responds well to its historic setting.
