Collins Construction have successfully handed over Barclay House, an office refurbishment and fit out on behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The project was completed in two phases over the course of 40 weeks. Phase one involved the strip out and refurbishment of the first floor. This included the removal and infilling of two glass roof lights to form a new roof space to hold a plant gantry where all new AC plants were relocated.
Phase two was the strip out and formation of the CEO’s office suite, kitchen, meeting rooms and boardrooms as well as the complete refurbishment of all WC’s.
Whilst on site Collins were also instructed to carry out the strip out and refurbishment of the reception, waiting area, helpline and bereavement space.
During the refurbishment of the reception, the Collins team unearthed a mosaic tiled floor dating back to the early 1920’s. We worked closely with the professional team to salvage what was left and brought in a specialist Mosaicist to restore this stunning design back to its former glory.
