Collins created a bespoke molecular imaging suite over two floors of 154 Harley Street. The works involved the installation of a SPECT CT by GE Medical on the ground floor and a PET CT in the basement. Both floors benefitted from uptake cubicles and changing facilities as well as dedicated waiting areas and hot labs.
With the building occupied throughout this challenging project required a two phase approach. Due to its size and weight the scanner required an internal crane to lower it securely into place during phase one. An additional 19 tonnes of lead was also required for shielding the medical equipment.
