Linen Court sits proudly just north of Old Street’s ‘Silicone Roundabout’. It is a modern, astutely designed office development providing high quality accommodation to creative companies that have made this area their home.
Collins were tasked with a Cat A refurbishment to multiple levels on behalf of Rocket Properties. The project was approached in two phases over a total of 18 weeks.
Phase one involved the refurbishment of the main reception area and level two office space to the clients Cat A specification. The reception area refurbishment included new flooring, floor-to-ceiling ply bookshelves, new ply fronts to the lifts, refurbishment of the existing reception desk and a bespoke feature light.
To level two, we carried out a complete strip out and then undertook a Cat A installation with a show floor area. Whilst completing this, we carried out a full investigation into the adequacy of the fire stopping and undertook repairs where needed. The repairs involved removing existing wall and ceiling plasterboard together with the ceiling grid and raised access floors to gain access to the areas that required fire stopping. We then reinstated the areas removed to leave a clean Cat A floor.
Phase two involved the strip out and Cat A refurbishment of levels one, three, four and seven.
Base build defects including passive fire protection, insulation and vapour barrier repairs to each of the four levels were also carried out as part of the refurbishment.
