One London Wall was designed by Foster & Partners and constructed in 2003 to provide 200,000 sq. ft. of highly specified office accommodation. JLL were looking for a sleek new design to complement the stunning views of St Pauls’ and the London skyline.
We were appointed to carry out the refurbishment to levels four, nine and ten to a Cat A specification, including the lift lobbies, WCs, core walls and 10th floor terrace area. The floors benefit from panoramic views of the London skyline, floor to ceiling glazing and excellent natural light.
The brief included very specific ceiling details which were a key feature in the design. Made to look like the bearings of a compass, circular halo affect lights were installed in every corner of the building.
Upon completion of the project, we were appointed to carry out the ground and first floor reception refurbishments. The ground floor refurbishment includes the installation of a new entrance with a structural steel portal, associated mechanical and electrical works, external glazing works and works to the internal double-height wall.
The first floor reception refurbishment includes installation of new barrier system, installation of new tea points, replacement/ cleaning of window grills, mechanical and electrical works, new flooring and decoration. Works are to be phased to minimise disruption, with completion due in Summer 2020.
