Collins took this 1920’s building back to shell and core, removing the plant enclosure and original mansard roof. This was followed by the installation of a new 2 story timber roof to create an additional level and mezzanine space. A new plant farm sited over the zinc seamed roof cladding panels was also installed.
Internally the project involved the reconfiguration of the WC’s and tenant space across all floors incorporating a new VRF system.
A new replacement lift servicing all floors has enabled Art Deco features and complimentary finishes, such as parquet flooring, to be retained. At ground and lower ground level a retail unit was created specifically for A3 use with bronze frontage at street level. This project received a BREEAM “Very Good” rating.
