Shrek’s Adventures is the latest London attraction for Merlin Entertainment, situated in County Hall on London’s South Bank. Collins were awarded the challenge to create a new attraction in two phases within the shared occupancy of London Sea Life, London Dungeon and London Eye.
The works within Level 1 included installing free standing acoustic pods incorporating mechanical, electrical and AV cable services.
An acoustic bus ride enclosure in excess of 8m high was constructed within the rotunda. Within the ground floor, Collins installed a temporary floating pontoon over the live Atlantic Tank to allow the removal of a reinforced concrete wall and install a new GRP flooring to maximise the new Shrek’s Adventure entrance area. A new lift shaft was installed, on stilts, to the light well on the raft foundation of County Hall.
