This 17,000sq ft Cat A fit at 42 Trinity Square included works to the basement, ground floor and levels 1 to 6 as well as the external courtyard, roof terrace and entrance walkway. Located just 2 minutes from the historical London Wall, Collins had to obtain special permission to erect scaffolding due to its Grade I listing. With the original building being built in the 18th century, a main electrical feed passing under the wall needed to be terminated before works could commence. The new UKPN power was then taken from the front of the building, running alongside Tower Hill tube station.
A new plant was built on the roof terrace with enhanced MEP services throughout. Inside, the building was finished to a Cat A specification and boasted a new reception area, modern WC’s throughout, shared meeting rooms and new glass and stainless steel balustrade. The basement also benefitted from new shower and changing facilities as well as a bike rack. Finally the entrance tunnel, reception and lower courtyard were finished with render panels and bespoke planting.
