Collins Construction challenged clients and colleagues in our 5-A-Side Football Tournament at The Colombo Centre in Southwark. Eight teams competed for the Copa Del Collins, and it was all for the taking!
The Collins teams were out in force alongside Quantem, Exigere, Chapman bdsp, Alinea llp and Blackburn & Co. We played a good game but the competition proved too much and we were knocked out before the semi-final. We took to the bench to let the others fight it out.
One by one Alinea, Quantem and Blackburn were relegated to the sides until only Exigere and Chapman were left face to face on the pitch, both teams eyeing the Copa del Collins.
It was a tense game with no clear winners as the whistle blew; it was down to penalties. You couldn’t hear a sound as the two teams put forward their star players who lined up to shoot.
All teams played with passion and good sportsmanship throughout, but there could only be one Copa del Collins winner…
Well done to Exigere who smashed the penalties and were crowned victors of the first Copa del Collins 5-A-Side.
