Collins has made two new appointments to expand the company’s on-site sustainability support for its projects.
Alex Loli and Lynsey Thompson have joined as Sustainability Manager and Assistant Sustainability Manager and will work alongside Head of Sustainability, Anisha Mayor, to bring the majority of project support in-house to allow closer client collaboration in achieving environmental targets.
Alex has four years’ experience delivering carbon reduction strategies and will support our clients with life-cycle carbon analysis. His role will be to further develop early engagement with design teams to look at low carbon alternatives, with the aim of reducing embodied and operational carbon. He is also a registered BREEAM assessor and will be supporting delivery of green certification across all projects.
Lynsey will help Collins maintain and exceed standards as one of only 57 Partners of the Considerate Constructors Scheme in the UK. She will support implementation of best practise across the business, as well as focus on upskilling our project teams.
The appointments will also enable Collins to generate increased efficiencies throughout its processes, such as; facilitating circular economy workshops to reuse or recycle existing building materials, review supply chain performance to ensure their commitment to sustainability targets, and regular auditing of all sites to track environmental compliance.
Anisha Mayor, Head of Sustainability, said: “I’m thrilled to have Lynsey and Alex join the team. Their understanding of how to set and meet environmental targets will facilitate closer working relationships with our clients. By driving sustainability best practice, innovation, and on-site support, we will ensure we are working closely with our project partners to create sustainable spaces that have a positive impact on the people that use them and the wider environment.”
